In Shenzen on 18 February, Claude Satinet, Managing Director of Citroën, unveiled a new Citroën model that will be released in China in second-quarter 2006: C-Triomphe.    
   
This modern, innovative saloon – measuring 4.8 m long and 1.77 m wide – features all the characteristics and innovations currently driving the success of the C4, while adopting the notchback body style preferred by the Chinese market.

The exceptionally spacious C-Triomphe boasts a number of C4 features regarding innovation, driving pleasure and safety. The C4, produced on PSA Peugeot Citroën's platform 2, is a market leader in terms of roadholding and active safety.

C-Triomphe is the eighth Group model to be manufactured at the Wuhan site (in Hubei province), which assembled more than 140,000 Peugeot and Citroën vehicles in 2005.

PSA will import C4s from Argentina

PARIS -- PSA/Peugeot-Citroen will import cars from South America to Europe for the first time.

The French carmaking group will export three-box sedan versions of the Citroen C4 lower-medium car from Argentina starting in 2007.

"The C4s will be sold in Spain, where there is good demand for three-box cars," said Citroen spokesman Edouard Bergevin. "It will go to other southern European markets if there is enough demand." C4 production will start in Palomar, a PSA plant near Buenos Aires, next year.

The C4 that will be built in Palomar will be similar to the C4-based C-Triomphe sedan that PSA sells in China.

Citroen builds hatchback versions of the C4 at its plant in Mulhouse, France.

European sales of the C4 were 67,837 units in the first four months, down from 74,856 in the same period last year, according to UK market researcher JATO Dynamics."

Jep, eli Euroopassa myytävät C4 sedanit tulevat sitten Argentiinasta eikä Kiinasta. Parannusta sekin.
