"The Dongfeng Number 1 will be based on the platform of the Citroen C6, a weirdly looking French fastback that was manufactured from 2005 until 2012. The platform is the first fruit for Dongfeng of the purchase of a 14% stake in PSA, the mother company of Citroen."
"Only letdown is that the platform of the C6 is decidedly FWD, without any possibility for 4WD. But the platform was equipped with Citroen's famous hydractive suspension, which can make the Dongfeng Number 1 a very comfortable cruiser. No news on engines yet. The lone gasoline engine in the C6 was a 211hp 3.0 V6, which sounds very old fashioned today. Dongfeng will likely go for a souped up variant of the PSA 1.6 turbo, which can easily do 200hp."
