LainaaScheduled for a launch at the 2012 Paris Motor Show, the new model will probably receive a name different from the car it mimics. Insiders state it'll be named DS2 or DS2i – but others claim a new name has not been found yet.
Modern
Looking at the picture closely, it appears to be very likely the new car will receive a roll-back canvas top, tough the roof spoiler seems to make it unable to stretch it all the way down to the rear.
Different from the original 2CV, the new model will be equipped with class-typical safety features such as airbags, ESP, ABS, belt tensioners and much more. It'll be also much more comfortable than France's most typical car of the 1950s, 60s and 70s.
Power
Power, however, will come from four-cylinder engines taken from the C1 and C3, with a 68-hp petrol unit being the entry-level motor. It's followed by 75- and 95-hp petrol engines and accompanied by 70- and 90-hp HDi diesel engines.
